Van Etten has fully cooperated during the entire seven (7) year criminal investigation. The Office of the U.S. Attorney now admits (July 21, 2004) it obtained 30,000 pages of Van Etten's privileged documents and legal communications, previously denied by the Government for years. Van Etten has no secrets to hide from the Government, as they have known all for more than four (4) years.

It was one year ago this month that the FBI, IRS, Local Law Enforcement and others arrived at our home executing a "NO-KNOCK" search warrant. The Government knew Kerry and I were out of state and that only one of our children was home (Van 15 years old at the time). They arrived at 6:00 AM with 11 vehicles, to include a moving truck, and approximately 15 agents ostensibly to locate one file folder. More > |

It has now been 7 years since the criminal investigation started, 5 years since IHI filed for bankruptcy, and more than one year since the criminal Indictment, and NOW the Government confirms it has obtained information in violation of attorney-client privilege.
